About the Wonky Ear
I love baking and I love our cats. When I decided to document my bread making journey on Instagram, I thought it was a good idea to dedicate the page to our Singaporean rescue cat called Nerf , more specifically, to his Wonky right ear since he was always in the kitchen trying to get a treat, while simultaneously tripping me up as I experimented with flour.
Together with my British husband, we moved in 2014 from Singapore to USA for work and while over there, adopted a playmate for him (the cat).
His name is Hankie, and is as fluffy as Nerf.
We have now put down roots in the UK, and converted a spare room into a micro-bakery where cats are forbidden, and trip hazards are minimised!

...more about the Bread
All our sourdough breads are handmade only with the simplest ingredients : flour, water, salt and a sourdough starter called "Stuart" who has been with us since 2019.

We proof the dough for 12 to 24 hours, allowing it time to ferment and develop richer flavours, aroma and crust.

Sourdough bread is proven to be easier to digest due to its long fermentation and also contains probiotics which is great for the gut!
All bakes are made in small batches, with flavours crossing between the East and West, as we take inspiration from our different cultures, and the places we have travelled to over the years.
Supporting local
We strive to source our ingredients from the closest possible sources, with flour coming from the nearby Cotswolds. Our menu will vary, depending on what is in season.
Community Focused
We operate on a delivery model - either on foot, by bike or electric vehicle and currently only deliver to the community in the Kingsmere, Bicester residential area.
